Chickamauga on 9/19/63. He, along with five other prisoners, escaped from Danville prison the winter of '63-64. He made
his way back to union forces at Gauley Bridge, West Virginia.  He returned to the regiment on 4/28/64, was wounded at
Kennesaw Mountain battle on 6/18/64 and died from those wounds on 6/20/64.

John Young aka Alexander Shambro, 10/4/62, private, courts martial November 15,1862 pursuant to General Orders
No. 41, for violation of 22nd Article of War (enlisting in other regiments while a soldier in one already). He was found
guilty and sentenced to death by firing squad as a deserter. Sentence was to be carried out on January 2, 1863 in
"presence of troops encamped in and around the city of Louisville [Ky.]." However, President Lincoln disapproved the
sentence and ordered him returned to duty. Young's name does not appear in the Official Roster.
